Lisa’s story began with us in 2021, when our team was called out to remove animals from a backyard for canine cruelty. These dogs did not come from organized dogfighting, but, as the photos show, there certainly was a negative altercation between Lisa and the other dog on the property.
We immediately rushed Lisa to the emergency room where she stayed for several days, fighting nasty infections from deep bite wounds, and suffered severe trauma to one of her eyes as a result of her injuries. We transferred her back to #PitnessProtection, nursed her back to health, got her nice and cozy and she quickly became a favorite for many of our volunteers.
Lisa has been adopted since May of 2022, where she spends her days snuggling with her human siblings and sunbathing in her very own backyard!
